Vinicius Junior Commits to Real Madrid with New Contract Signing

Vinicius Junior, the rapidly emerging Brazilian football sensation, has committed to Real Madrid until June 30, 2027, by penning a fresh contract.

The signing occurred today, October 31, following his Socrates Award victory on Monday, October 30, at the 2023 Ballon d’Or, an event dominated by Lionel Messi.

Beyond clinching the Socrates Award, the 23-year-old winger secured the 6th position globally in the Ballon d’Or rankings. Notably, Vinicius joined Real Madrid from Flamengo in 2018 at the age of 18, with a transfer fee of £38 million.

During his tenure with the Spanish giants, the Brazilian international has notched 64 goals in 248 games, contributing to the team's triumph in nine competitions, including the 2022 Champions League.

In addition to two Spanish Super Cups, two Club World Cups, the Copa Del Rey, and the European Super Cup, Vinicius has made significant off-field contributions. His establishment of a foundation that funds and constructs schools in impoverished areas of Brazil earned him the prestigious Socrates Award at the 2023 Ballon d’Or.

Following the contract extension, the 23-year-old expressed his joy and dreams for the future with Real Madrid, conveying gratitude to the fans with a heartfelt "Hala Madrid!"
