UCL: Ancelotti Expresses Doubts About Bellingham's Availability for Braga Match
Real Madrid's coach, Carlo Ancelotti, has expressed concerns about Jude Bellingham's availability for their upcoming Champions League clash against Braga. The midfielder sustained a shoulder injury over the weekend. While Madrid is seeking another victory at the Santiago Bernabeu to advance to the knockout stages after three consecutive wins, they may have to do so without their leading goal-scorer. However, it's worth noting that Bellingham did participate in a portion of the team's training session on Tuesday.
Jude Bellingham, the England international who has netted 13 goals in 14 matches across various competitions, encountered a shoulder issue during the La Liga match against Rayo Vallecano on Sunday. It's worth noting that he completed the entire game despite the injury.
"I'm uncertain if he will play or not; he's in good shape and feeling comfortable," Ancelotti informed reporters on Tuesday ahead of Braga's upcoming match.
"He didn't complete the full training session to prevent any potential knocks, but he's recovering well. Whether he plays tomorrow or not, I will make that decision with him tomorrow."
Bellingham's goal-scoring prowess has been instrumental in filling the void left by Karim Benzema, who departed during the summer. In the meantime, Brazilian duo Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes have encountered difficulties in regaining their peak form.
Ancelotti also commented on Vinicius, who received a yellow card for dissent in the Rayo match, stating that he still needs to work on his attitude, but he believes the player is making progress in the right direction.
"Vinicius continues to make a significant impact. While there might be room for improvement in his attitude under certain circumstances, I believe he has made significant progress in that regard," Ancelotti added.
"We are very content with his on-field performance, even though he may have been somewhat out of place on occasion. His attitude has improved considerably compared to previous years."
Madrid announced on Tuesday that French midfielder Eduardo Camavinga has extended his contract until 2029, following the contract extensions of Vinicius and Rodrygo last week.
