Scottish team Rangers officially announce the departure of Oforboh
Glasgow Rangers, a Scottish Premiership club, has officially announced that Nnamdi Oforboh, a former Flying Eagles midfielder, is departing the team.
Oforboh had joined the Light Blues from Premier League club Bournemouth last summer.
However, the 23-year-old was unable to make any appearances for Rangers due to a diagnosed heart problem.
The Gers did not provide any explanation for the termination of his contract.
A statement on the club's official website reads, "Rangers can confirm that the club and Nnamdi Ofoborh have mutually agreed to terminate his contract. The midfielder, who joined Rangers at the beginning of the 2021-22 season, has chosen to pursue his career elsewhere. Everyone at Rangers extends their best wishes to Nnamdi for his future endeavors."
Oforboh had been a part of Nigeria's squad for the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland in 2019, where he made three appearances for the Flying Eagles.
