Saudi offer Mourinho more than £100m to coach team

According to the Daily Mail, Jose Mourinho, manager of Roma, has been offered more than £100 million to coach Saudi Arabia in a two-year contract, making him the highest paid manager ever.

On Thursday, the English news platform also reported that Cristiano Ronaldo's club Al-Nassr is interested in Mourinho, with current manager Rudi Garcia expected to leave at the end of the season.

The 60-year-old Portugueseman joined Roma in 2021 and is under contract with the Serie A giants until 2024.

However, there have been disagreements over transfers and disappointments with Roma's performance this season.

With his future at the Italian club uncertain, Mourinho has been approached directly by 'top management' to lead the Saudi Arabia national team.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the contract includes £52 million (€60 million) per year and two options for Mourinho.

He'd have the option of terminating the contract at the end of the first season or extending it until 2026, the year of the North American World Cup.
