A statement from the Director of Information in the Office of the SGF, Willie Bassey, mentioned that the Chairman of the North Central Governors' Forum, Abdullahi Sule, expressed the assurance of the region's governors in supporting Akume.

According to the statement, "The Chairman of the North Central Governors' Forum and Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule, extended his congratulations to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation on his appointment by the President.
