Bwala: Tinubu's Challenge with Obedience Larger Than Nigeria's Economy

Legal practitioner and spokesperson of the Atiku Abubakar presidential campaign during the 2023 presidential election, Daniel Bwala, has expressed concerns about how President Bola Tinubu plans to handle the situation with the Labour Party and Obedience in the country. Bwala voiced his worry in response to statements made by Datti Baba-Ahmed regarding the Supreme Court's verdict.

Baba-Ahmed, the Vice Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), had asserted that the Supreme Court did not affirm Tinubu's victory but only validated the illegality of the lower courts. He made these remarks during a live program, stating that he would not be swayed by a man who allegedly forged his certificate and forfeited drug money.

Reacting to Baba-Ahmed's statement on his social media account, Bwala expressed his opinion that Tinubu would encounter more challenges in managing the Labour Party and Obedience. He wrote, “Listening to Datti Baba Ahmed this evening, I believe the man has not shifted a bit from his earlier position, although he now accepts the fact that Tinubu is the President by the court."

Bwala continued, "But Peter Obi and Datti’s position today convinced me that @officialABAT Tinubu has more problems to manage with the Labour Party and Obedience than the entire economy and insecurity in Nigeria. How he will navigate this is a course to be taught in OAU, ABU, and Nsukka universities.”
