APC National Secretary, Ajibola, Calls for the Arrest of Atiku and Peter Obi on Charges of Treason

Senator Bashiru Ajibola, the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has asserted that Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP) respectively, could face charges of treason.

Peter Obi, during a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday, called on Tinubu to provide clarity on his identity and reintroduce himself to Nigerians. Obi specifically requested information about Tinubu's real names, state of origin, and details of his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) service.

In response to Obi's statements during an interview on Channels Television's Politics Today on Wednesday, Ajibola contended that Tinubu, the APC leader, does not require reintroduction as Nigerians are already familiar with his credentials.

Ajibola labeled Atiku and Obi as serial losers experiencing the trauma of electoral defeat, suggesting that they may need "psychiatric evaluation." He went further to assert that questioning the identity of the President could warrant treason charges against the former Vice President and the former Governor of Anambra State.

The APC National Secretary emphasized that there was no need for a new introduction of Tinubu, stating, "Obi must know that President Tinubu does not need a re-introduction. He does not have any identity problem, except the one contrived by the Atikus and Peters of our political firmament."

Ajibola also addressed the controversy surrounding Tinubu's academic record at the Chicago State University, asserting that the facts are clear and settled, except for those politically biased by the trauma of electoral defeat.
