Osimhen tops Ten Hag’s summer targets

Victor Osimhen, the in-form Napoli striker, has emerged as one of Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag's summer priorities as the club looks to strengthen in the summer.

According to the Daily Mail, United will seek at least two major signings this summer in order to maintain their momentum under the Dutch manager.

United's priority in the next transfer window will be a center forward and additional midfield reinforcements, with a center-back potentially needed if captain Harry Maguire leaves.

United ended a six-year trophy drought by defeating Newcastle United 2-0 at Wembley on Sunday to win the Carabao Cup, and Ten Hag's side is still in contention in the Premier League, FA Cup, and UEFA Europa League this season.

However, the Manchester Evening News reports that plans for further strengthening the United squad in the summer are already in the works.

Ten Hag is a fan of Benfica and Portugal striker Goncalo Ramos, while United are interested in Osimhen and Tottenham's Harry Kane.

The manager also believes Mohammed Kudus, a former Ajax player, has what it takes to succeed in the Premier League.

In midfield, Ten Hag may reconsider his pursuit of Barcelona's Frenkie de Jong, whom he was desperate to sign last summer.

Given that Barcelona needs to sell players to alleviate their financial woes, a second bid for the Dutch international could be successful.

The United manager is also said to be open to signing Borussia Dortmund and England midfielder Jude Bellingham, though the club would face stiff competition from Liverpool and other suitors.

However, any summer additions must come after player sales in order for United to meet UEFA's financial sustainability rules.

Maguire, defender Alex Telles, who is currently on loan at Sevilla, and injured forward Anthony Martial are among those United intend to sell.
