Nigeria's Trade Relations with Indonesia Flourish, says NCCI President Ishmael Balogun
Ismael Balogun, the President of the Nigerian Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, announced in Lagos on Wednesday that the trade between Nigeria and Indonesia has surpassed expectations.
Balogun revealed that the trade volume has reached an impressive $4.7 billion, exceeding the initial target of $4 billion. His remarks were made during the EMWA2023 – Equipment & Manufacturing West Africa 2023 event, which was sponsored by Zenith Exhibitions.
The trade between Nigeria and Indonesia has achieved a remarkable milestone, as Ismael Balogun confirmed that it has now reached $4.7 billion, surpassing the initial target of $4 billion.
During the Nigerian Indonesian Trade Forum (NITF) held in Jakarta, the Nigerian Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NICCI) made an important announcement. They expressed their determination to tackle the trade imbalance of $2.8 billion between Nigeria and Indonesia.
Ismael Balogun, in his statement, emphasized the Chamber's dedication to collaborating with various countries such as Qatar, the United Kingdom, Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates, and others. The objective is to generate favorable prospects for Nigerian businesses and foster economic growth.
During the first-ever Nigerian Indonesian Trade Forum (NITF) held in Jakarta in October 2022, Ismael Balogun highlighted the Chamber's commitment to rectifying the trade balance between Nigeria and Indonesia, which amounted to $2.8 billion.
He further emphasized the Chamber's unwavering dedication to intensifying awareness and pursuing opportunities between the two nations as well as the global community across diverse sectors of the economy. Balogun assured that the Nigerian Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NICCI) is fully prepared to support its members in achieving their individual and corporate objectives, fostering growth and development.
