Honda launches Unicorn motorcycle

According to Honda Manufacturing (Nigeria) Ltd, the company recently introduced a new motorcycle, the Honda CB Unicorn, into the Nigerian market in order to increase the performance standard in the subsector.

Hirohide Ichikawa, Managing Director of Honda Nigeria Ltd, described the new product as "extremely trustworthy for business and private use" during his keynote address.

"The new Honda Unicorn was produced with the same inventive precision technology that is synonymous with the Honda brand," he continued, "and its unique and remarkable features make it the greatest in its class."

According to him, the Honda Unicorn is created to perfection after considerable involvement with Honda's commercial partners, the distribution value chain and personal consumers, adding that the motorcycle is popular in India and the Middle

East, where the company sold more than 150,000 devices in a single year.

Ichikawa noted that despite Nigeria's current economic situation, the business opted to launch the Honda Unicorn.

"We are particularly happy that the Honda Unicorn is being unveiled today under the prevailing tough operating terrain in Nigeria. This not only represents our continuous belief and trust in the Nigerian dream, but it also symbolizes our optimism for a better future," he added.

Olabade Badejo, the company's Sales Manager, stated in a presentation that the Unicorn motorcycle stands out because it is convenient for users, and that its parts are readily available.

"It has the lowest fuel consumption and ensures great quality and longevity. It's got a lot of resale value."

The motorcycle is aimed at private and business clients, according to the manufacturer, and it can be used by dispatch riders of banks, delivery companies, corporate organizations, leisure riders, and security agencies for patrol.

Furthermore, stating that Honda motorcycles are used in over 175 countries, Badejo emphasized the company's aim to begin safety riding instruction in April 2023 to improve riders' riding skills, increase profitability, and boost the organization's safety image.

He went on to say that the training would concentrate on riding mechanisms, accident and responsibility, cornering postures, balancing, and braking systems.
