British and Nigerian companies collaborate on the utilization of robot-deployed subsea assets

TSC Subsea, a global leader in the deployment of robotic subsea engineering assets for integrity solutions, has formed a strategic alliance with SubseaRobotix.

This collaboration is aimed at enhancing subsea engineering and structural integrity solutions within the Nigerian energy sector.

SubseaRobotix holds the distinction of being the trailblazer in Advanced Non-Destructive Technology solutions in Nigeria.

Dr. Bello Salihu, a Nigerian-born co-founder and Chief Technology Officer at SubseaRobotix based in the UK, elaborated on the partnership's rationale, stating, "With our history as pioneers in advanced non-destructive technology solutions in Nigeria, SubseaRobotix is uniquely positioned to introduce TSC Subsea's field-proven ROV and diver-deployed advanced structural integrity solutions to the Nigerian and broader West African markets."

Salihu, a distinguished member of the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing and a seasoned professional in global subsea asset integrity endeavors, further emphasized that the intersection of robotics, automation, virtualization, and artificial intelligence is poised to revolutionize the landscape of inspections in the forthcoming years.

According to him, the partnership agreement "solidifies the enduring rapport between our two organizations and serves as a testament to the mutual faith and confidence in each other's competencies."

TSC Subsea from the UK provides cutting-edge non-destructive testing methods and robotic inspection systems, deployable either by divers or remotely operated vehicles. In parallel, SubseaRobotix specializes in delivering top-tier asset integrity assessments within demanding subsea environments.

The announcement highlighted the alignment of core principles between the two firms, affirming their collaborative commitment to conducting inspection data collection and analysis for subsea assets, encompassing pipelines, flexible risers, and offshore structures.

Over the recent years, TSC Subsea proudly achieved more than 300 global subsea deployments utilizing their pioneering patented technologies.
