The driver collided with two LAWMA officials

On Monday, two female officials from the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) were struck by a vehicle near the Charlie Boy area heading towards Gbagada, Lagos State. According to an eyewitness named Sodiq, who spoke with our correspondent over the phone, the two women, yet to be identified, tragically lost their lives at the scene. Sodiq described the incident as a ghastly accident, stating that the LAWMA officials were hit by a Sienna vehicle while performing their duties.

"We're unsure of what was affecting the driver; he simply drove straight and collided with the two women. It's truly unfortunate. The driver has been apprehended and turned over to the police."
