Military Confronts Terrorists in Sokoto, Successfully Rescues 31 Kidnap Victims

The Joint Task Force North West Operation HADARIN DAJI has successfully rescued 31 individuals who were kidnapped in various locations across Sokoto State. The Nigerian Army shared this information in an official statement, commending the efforts of the troops led by Major General Godwin Mutkut, the General Officer Commanding 8 Division Nigerian Army in Sokoto.


The statement outlined that the troops have been actively engaged in combating terrorism through a series of clearance operations to eliminate terrorist hideouts in the North West region. In a recent operation in Tangaza LGA of Sokoto state, the troops cleared Alya Fulani village and Buani forest, rescuing 30 kidnapped persons as the terrorists abandoned their captives and fled.


The aggressive troops also proceeded to Goboro village, where one female kidnapped victim was rescued, and the terrorists fled in disarray due to the superior firepower of the troops. The discovered terrorist hideouts were destroyed during the operations.
