Friends grieve the loss of a man just three days before his scheduled wedding
Friends of Abraham Basif, a groom-to-be, are in deep sorrow as he passed away just three days before his planned wedding. The news of Basif's demise was shared on Wednesday by Theophilus Baba, a Facebook user.
Baba posted a photograph of the late Basif and expressed his grief, stating, "The death of a young promising man has deeply saddened me, but God knows it all. Little did I know that the day I visited you in the hospital would be our last meeting on earth, brother. Instead of typing congratulations on your picture this week Friday and Saturday, we find solace in trusting God's faithfulness in all things."
Upon checking Basif's Facebook page, his last post on November 29, 2023, was an invitation to his wedding scheduled for Friday, December 22, and Saturday, December 23.
Basif had posted his wedding invitation and pre-wedding photos featuring him and his fiancée, accompanied by the caption, "In His time, He made all things beautiful. Join us as we celebrate God's faithfulness in our lives."
After Baba's announcement, additional friends of the late Basif expressed their grief on their Facebook profiles.
Suleiman Naphysah stated, "I can't believe the news. This is incredibly difficult for everyone who knew you. Rest in peace, Abraham Basif."
Voiceman Austine shared, "Rest in peace, brother. What will happen to your wedding scheduled for the day after tomorrow, sir? Heartbroken."
