Fulani Leader, Previously Missing, Found Deceased in Plateau

The discovery of the deceased Fulani leader, Umar Ibrahim, in an abandoned well at Jokom community in Mangu town of Plateau state has brought sorrow. Ibrahim went missing after visiting his ailing wife in Mangu on Wednesday.


Garba Abdullahi, the chairman of the Gan Allah Fulani Development Association (GAFDAN), shared in an interview that Ibrahim left the hospital to buy food for his wife and never returned. Soldiers from Operation Safe Haven, a security taskforce maintaining peace in the area, recovered his body.


Abdullahi urged members to remain calm and law-abiding, emphasizing that the security agencies are working to apprehend those responsible. Oya James, the spokesperson for Operation Safe Haven, confirmed the incident.
