Federal Government Initiates Repairs on Third Mainland Bridge

The Federal Ministry of Works has initiated a comprehensive restoration project on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos, spanning 11.8 kilometers. The standard upkeep procedure is being carried out in collaboration with the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation Ltd.

Jubril Gawat, the media aide to the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, shared photos of the ongoing repair work on social media, highlighting the collaboration between the Federal Ministry of Works and the construction company. The rehabilitation work is focused on the ramps at Adekunle.

The Federal Government had earlier announced the closure of all ramps of the Third Mainland Bridge for repair work, starting from 7 a.m. on Monday. The closure is part of the extensive repairs planned for the bridge, and motorists are advised to use alternative routes during this period while cooperating with traffic management officials to ensure smooth movement.
