Construction Activities on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Suspended for Eid Kabir Holiday

The Federal Ministry of Works and Housing has made an announcement regarding the temporary suspension of construction activities on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. Effective from Tuesday, July 27th, 2023, the suspension aims to ensure smoother travel for individuals during the Eid Kabir holiday. Construction work is scheduled to resume on the expressway on July 2nd, 2023.

The decision was conveyed through a statement issued by the Federal Controller of Works, Lagos, Engr. (Mrs) O. I. Kesha, on Monday. The statement cites heavy traffic flow, adverse weather conditions, and the upcoming Eid Kabir celebration as factors contributing to the decision. The aim is to facilitate easier passage for travelers during this significant holiday period.

In light of this development, travelers are urged to cooperate with the Traffic Management Team deployed on the highway to effectively manage traffic and ensure a seamless journey experience.
