FG allocates over N29bn in September for infrastructure development

The Federal Government disbursed over N29 billion in September to improve road networks and water resources, as facilitated by the Federal Ministry of Works.

This information was obtained from GovSpend, a platform for tracking government spending created by the accountability firm BudgIT.

Notably, N5.88 billion has been allocated to Reinforced Global Resources Ltd. for the complete rehabilitation of the Ugep-Opkosi Road, which connects Cross River and Ebonyi states.

This investment demonstrates the government's commitment to infrastructure development and improving critical services throughout the country.

Similarly, JRB Constructions Company Ltd. was awarded N4.42 billion to rehabilitate the Potiskum-Jakusko-Gashua Road in Yobe State.

Rockborough XL Prime Ltd. was awarded N1.26 billion for the Maraba Donga Road in Taraba State, and Truetech Global Investment Services Ltd. received N1.25 billion for the East-West Road project in Delta State.

Additionally, the GovSpend website revealed a payment of N1.04 billion to HMF Construction Ltd. for various projects along the Abeokuta-Ajebo Road in Ogun State.

These allocations demonstrate the government's ongoing commitment to improving road infrastructure in multiple states.

According to GovSpend, the Federal Government was also investing in new federal secretariats, with N1.90 billion paid to Medaville Construction Ltd for the Kebbi State secretariat, N1.82 billion to Candon Construction Ltd for Abia State, and N1.82 billion to Strabic Construction Ltd for Ebonyi State.

Steady Lane Nigeria Ltd received N1.49 billion for the Lokoja Secretariat in Kogi State.

Additionally, several other road rehabilitation and construction projects were funded. Rockborough XL Prime Ltd. was awarded N1.23 billion for bypass construction in Zamfara State, while Gerawa Global Engineering Ltd. received N596.36 million for road improvements in Borno State. Anbez Innovations Ltd. also received N511.07 million to repair the Katsina-Daura Road.
