FCT Minister Pledges to Revitalize APC in Abuja

The Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, has committed to revitalizing the All Progressives Congress (APC) to strengthen the party's performance in future elections in Abuja.

Dr. Mahmoud made this pledge during a meeting with the FCT chairman, party officials, and other members in Abuja on Wednesday. She expressed concern about the APC's poor showing in the 2023 Presidential Election in the territory but expressed confidence that, with President Bola Tinubu's leadership, the party could address its shortcomings and perform better in upcoming elections.

Acknowledging the patience of party members despite the recent challenges, Dr. Mahmoud emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration among stakeholders for the party's success. She encouraged honesty, dedication, and mutual support, stating, “If we want to succeed, we must be honest with each other; we must be dedicated and support one another."

Dr. Mahmoud also highlighted her intention to leverage her experience to ensure the party's success in future FCT elections, drawing parallels to the APC's achievements in Kano State. "By God’s grace, we are going to make it," she said.
