The Police have apprehended the General Overseer of Agape Evangelical Ministries (City of Miracles), situated at Obikabia Junction in Aba, Abia State. This action comes in connection to the death of a married female member of the church, a mother of five, in a hotel where they were staying.

The deceased, known as "Evangelist Happiness," was staying at Jubilee Guest House Ovom, Ogborhill, along with the Bishop. Sadly, she was found lifeless in their hotel room. As reported by PUO Reports, an online news source in Abia State, this incident occurred on the night of August 12, 2023, at around 11pm. The Bishop had falsely informed the hotel receptionist that he was leaving to get food at that late hour, only to abscond.

The Hotel Manager, sensing possible foul play, promptly alerted the Eastern Ngwa Police Station in the Obingwa Local Government Area, reporting the situation around 1am on the following Sunday. Upon the arrival of Nigeria Police officers at the hotel, they discovered the woman unclothed and with foam emerging from her mouth and nose.

Upon examining her phone, authorities found evidence that the deceased woman, a mother of five, was a member of the Agape Evangelical Ministries Incorporated, led by Bishop Timothy Otu, the suspected individual. The messages on her phone unveiled a romantic relationship and discussions between her and the Bishop. Investigations indicated that she had passed away during an extended sexual encounter with the Bishop.

Tracking down the Bishop, the police went to his church at Obikabia Junction and attended his Sunday Service. After the Bishop's fervent sermon on repentance, he was taken into custody by the police from Eastern Ngwa Police Station in Obingwa.

The late Evangelist Happiness hailed from Umuatakawom in Obingwa, Abia State. Tragically, her husband was working in Bayelsa State when this unfortunate event occurred.
