Delta youths stage match for Kumuyi’s visit
In preparation for Pastor William Kumuyi's six-day 'Global Crusade,' youths in Asaba, the Delta State capital, have shut down the city for a one-million-man match.
The "Global Crusade" will be held with a special section dedicated to youths, students, corps members, and young adults to prepare them for their future endeavors.
The youths who converged at Abraka, the end of the Nnebisi road in Asaba, matched through the road and berthed near the state house of assembly quarters, from where they took a detour to Cenotaph, the venue for the Global Crusade and the Youth Impact Academy.
The three-hour match to the Cenotaph was accompanied by trucks, cooling vans, security personnel, and music blaring from mounted loudspeakers, which added motivation to the ever-eager youths.
Pastor Jeffery, the Chairman of the state YouWiCAN in Oshimili South and North, praised the youths for the one-million-man match.
"For the past year and a half, Pastor Kumuyi has held the Impact Academy with youths who connect to the Alpha location via various communication technologies, and many testimonies of success stories have poured in from youths all over the world," he said.
He stated that this month's Youth Impact Academy, which will be held in Asaba on January 28, will impact youths with the goal of producing excellent youths who will be equipped with the necessary skills to challenge the dynamics of evolving societies.
