DSS Secures Supreme Court for Nnamdi Kanu Judgment

DSS Takes Control of Supreme Court Security for Nnamdi Kanu Judgment

In preparation for the crucial judgment in the Federal Government's case against Nnamdi Kanu, leader of IPOB, armed DSS operatives have assumed security control at the Supreme Court. The pivotal verdict is scheduled for this morning, with DSS personnel restricting access to the court and Villa gate, deterring litigants and sympathizers of the self-proclaimed IPOB leader.

Supreme Court-Accredited Journalists Initially Denied Access, Intervention Secures Entry

Journalists, possessing official Supreme Court accreditation tags, were initially barred from entering the court premises. The intervention of high-ranking court officials eventually led to the reluctant admission of reporters. The primary entrance to the courtroom was obstructed by an unmarked security vehicle, subjecting journalists to thorough frisking before granting entry. As of the current report, the decision of the court, led by Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, is eagerly anticipated.

The Supreme Court, on October 5, scheduled today for delivering its verdict on the appeal urging the Federal Government to release the embattled leader of IPOB from detention. Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, leading a five-member panel, approved the case for judgment following the adoption of final briefs of argument by both parties' counsel.
