Court ruling will not impact our prospects in the Bayelsa election, says Sylva

Chief Timipre Sylva, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the upcoming Bayelsa gubernatorial election on November 11, stated that his recent disqualification by an Abuja High Court would not hinder his prospects for victory in the election. Sylva made these remarks during a political rally held in Agoro, Ekeremor Local Government Area (LGA) of the state. He urged his supporters not to be swayed by the court ruling and to remain focused on the upcoming election.

"Let not the ruling dishearten you; instead, be ready to turn out in large numbers on November 11 to cast your votes in support of our party, the APC," he urged.

If entrusted with your votes in the November 11 election, I commit to completing the West Senatorial Road and extending it to the Agee Community. I will also address the issue of non-recognition of the paramount ruler in our oil-rich community and work to enhance the quality of life for our people.

"Some individuals seem anxious about the election, and they've resorted to obtaining questionable judgments in haste."

"We want to assure you that this judgment will not hold as it goes against the principles of natural justice. So, please, do not worry. Just come out and vote for us. I guarantee that the lives of this community's people will see remarkable improvements," he stated.

Sylva acknowledged his previous efforts to address the non-recognition of the traditional ruler in Agoro and noted that he is returning to permanently resolve this issue.

"I have also made a commitment to extend the senatorial road from where it currently ends in Ekeremor Town all the way to Agge," he stated.

Sylva emphasized that the partnership between himself and Joshua Maciver is beneficial for the people. "On Nov. 11, please cast your votes for me and the APC."

He also assured the people that his administration would address the issues of flooding and erosion affecting the state, as he continued his campaign tour to Peretorugbene, Ndoro, and other coastal communities in Ekeremor LGA.
