Applying for Federal Government Startup Assistance

On Tuesday, the Federal Government unveiled the Startup Support and Engagement Portal, a crucial component for implementing the Nigeria Startup Act. Minister of Communications Innovation and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, announced the launch via his X account, stating, "The startup portal aims to identify and gather information on Nigerian startups, venture capital firms, hubs, and innovation centers to enhance engagement and support for ecosystem players."

"The portal's introduction enables us to initiate the establishment of startup consultative forums, selecting representatives for the National Council for Digital Innovation and Entrepreneurship. This will foster discussions and consensus-building among Nigerian ecosystem participants."

Nevertheless, he extended an invitation to all Nigerian startups, venture capital firms, hubs, and innovation centers to complete the registration process.
