790 officers who earned promotions were ceremonially adorned by the NSCDC in Lagos
The Lagos State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has officially decorated 790 officers who were recently promoted within the command. The decoration ceremony took place on Thursday at the command's headquarters in Alausa, Ikeja, as outlined in a statement by the state NSCDC spokesperson, DSC Abolurin Oluwaseun.
Oluwaseun noted that during the ceremony, State Commandant Usman Alfadarai urged the promoted officers to uphold their new ranks by demonstrating professionalism, operational excellence, and effective administrative performance. He emphasized the importance of being exemplary ambassadors of the corps and cautioned against using their promotion to intimidate colleagues or compromise the professional ethics and standards of the service.
"Prove the merit of your newly acquired ranks through enhanced professional, operational, and administrative achievements for the service, upholding the honor of our flag," stated Alfadarai.
He expressed gratitude to the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and the Commandant General of NSCDC, Ahmed Audi, along with the entire top management, for acknowledging and rewarding diligence, professionalism, discipline, and dedicated service.
The Federal Government directed the Civil Defence, Fire, Immigration, and Prisons Services Board to facilitate the promotion of a cumulative total of 32,361 personnel across various ranks.
