The Federal Government has granted approval for the disbursement of a N25,000 peculiar allowance to medical doctors and dentists working in hospitals, medical centers, and clinics within the federal public service.

This authorization was communicated through a letter dated July 26, 2023, titled 'Accoutrement allowance for medical and dental doctors in hospitals, medical centers, and clinics in federal MDAs.'

Dr. Uche Ojinmah, the President of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), expressed the association's appreciation for this development, as they await the full implementation of the agreements they had.
