Osimhen is still a target for Chelsea and Arsenal, according to Jacobs
Chelsea and Arsenal, two prominent Premier League clubs, remain contenders in the pursuit of Victor Osimhen, as indicated by transfer expert Ben Jacobs. Osimhen, despite extending his contract with the Serie A champions last December, is anticipated to depart this summer. Reports suggest that his new deal includes a release clause in the vicinity of €130m.
In addition to Chelsea and Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, the reigning Ligue 1 champions, have reportedly expressed interest in the player.
However, Jacobs emphasized that Osimhen's primary preference is to make a move to England by the end of the season. He stated, "We still cannot discount Arsenal in the competition for Osimhen. It is also accurate that PSG holds Osimhen in high regard and considers him a priority target. They are positioned to act in the market, given the expected departure of Kylian Mbappe."
The journalist conveyed, "Sources still affirm that Osimhen's priority lies in the Premier League, which is promising news for Chelsea and Arsenal. He is reportedly seeking a salary of around £250,000 per week, a figure that would be acceptable to Arsenal, Chelsea, and PSG."
