The bodies of three students who were reported missing after their boat capsized in Calabar on Saturday have now been found and recovered. Among the bodies retrieved, two belong to male students and one to a female student.

The disclosure was made on Monday in Calabar by the Commissioner of Police, Gyogon Grimah. He emphasized that the police had been tirelessly working round the clock to locate and rescue the missing students ever since the unfortunate boat accident took place.

Grimah expressed his appreciation for the local community's collaborative efforts in retrieving the bodies of the students. The incident took place when a group of medical students, who had gathered in Calabar for medical students' games, embarked on a boat cruise at Marina Resort on Saturday. Unfortunately, the boat capsized during the excursion.

Out of the total number of students involved, eleven were successfully rescued from the water. Regrettably, it was on Monday that the bodies of the three missing students were finally recovered.
