Lagos Residents Urge Umahi To Repair Jibowu Flyover Before It's Too Late

Concerned Lagos residents and motorists are alarmed by the deteriorating section of the Jibowu Flyover. They are urgently calling upon Minister for Works, Dave Umahi, and Lagos Deputy Governor, Obafemi Hamzat, to take action to prevent potential loss of life and property. The damaged portion of the flyover is visibly disjointed, located on the route to Ikorodu Road. This problematic section lies between Jibowu by Total Fuel Station/Fadeyi Bus Rapid Transit, BRT, heading towards Ojuelegba along Ikorodu Road and Surulere Local Government Area. A resident named Florence Philips emphasized the importance of escalating this issue to the relevant federal and state authorities, particularly Minister Umahi and Deputy Governor Hamzat, to address the problem promptly and avert a crisis.

Additionally, residents and motorists in the Ikotun-Igando Local Council Development Area, Alimosho, are urging the state government to repair the rapidly deteriorating culvert near the Ikotun market on Ikotun-Egbe Road. Hassan Kabiru, a concerned resident and motorist, stressed the significance of fixing this culvert, which serves as a crucial link between Ikotun and other parts of the Mainland and Island, highlighting the potential for a disaster due to its current condition and its contribution to traffic congestion.
