Beyoncé Grants £8,000 to Nigerian-Owned Restaurant in London
Beyoncé, the renowned American singer, has generously granted £8,000 to a well-known Nigerian-owned restaurant located in North London, as part of a larger initiative. This initiative, known as the Black Parade Small Business Impact Luncheon, was established by Beyoncé's BeyGood Foundation.
Its purpose is to honor individuals, communities, and small businesses that have been affected by global economic disparities. Beyoncé has committed a substantial sum of £806,400 to provide support for various businesses, with the aforementioned restaurant being one of the ten fortunate recipients.
Beyoncé's foundation has chosen Chuku's, a restaurant situated in Tottenham, to be the recipient of a generous £8,000 grant.
Emeka Frederick, co-founder of Chuku's, joyfully expressed his gratitude, stating, "We couldn't be more thrilled to receive this grant. Like many other restaurants without a financial cushion, Chuku's has endured the hardships of lockdowns and the challenges posed by the escalating cost of living."
"Our daily battle to keep our doors open and reach our fourth anniversary has been relentless. However, this financial assistance will provide us with some relief, making the fight a little less arduous and enabling us to carry on showcasing the vibrant Nigerian culture along Tottenham's High Road, at least for the foreseeable future."
Over 100 entrepreneurs convened at the Four Seasons in Tower Hill for the luncheon, where they were presented with an exciting opportunity to compete for a staggering total of £806,000 in prizes.
