Akpabio, Barau, others felicitate Muslims on Sallah
Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Deputy President Jibrin Barau, and Olamilekan Adeola have congratulated the Muslim community on the occasion of this year's Eid-el-Kabir celebration.Eseme Eyiboh, his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, sent a congratulatory greeting on Saturday.
The Senate President emphasised the importance of Eid-el-Kabir as a time of sacrifice and celebration.
He urged Nigerians to make the required sacrifices for a better future, while understanding the obstacles created by the current economic restructuring.

"On behalf of my family, the people of Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District, the Senate, and the whole 10th National Assembly, I congratulate our Muslim faithful on this significant Eid-el-Kabir feast. "May Allah grant you a joyous and peaceful celebration," Akpabio said.
Akpabio informed Nigerians that the reforms being pursued by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's government are intended to remedy previous mistakes and develop the country for everybody.
He also empathised with individuals experiencing difficulties, advising patience and tenacity as the administration strives towards better days.
He told the President that the 10th National Assembly, led by him, will work with him to give the legislative backing required for national prosperity.
Akpabio also congratulated President Tinubu on his second Eid-el-Kabir in office, and prayed for divine wisdom and strength to carry out his pledges.

Barau underlined the administration's commitment to improving the nation's fortunes and encouraged Nigerians to support Tinubu's efforts.
"I wish Muslims and all Nigerians a happy Eid al-Kabir. "This season reminds us to put our trust in Allah's compassion and wisdom," said Barau, who advocates for peace, tolerance, justice, and charity.
He reaffirmed the National Assembly's commitment to creating laws to solve national concerns in accordance with President Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda.
Adeola, who represents the Ogun West Senatorial District, congratulated Muslims and urged prayers for peace and the success of President Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda.
In his speech, Adeola emphasised the necessity of following Islamic principles on sacrifice, love, brotherhood, and peaceful coexistence.
Adeola stressed the need of collective effort in governance and development, encouraging all Nigerians to contribute to national success.
He promised his constituents that he would continue to represent them effectively and work to deliver federal benefits of democracy to Ogun West.
