Uche Maduagwu proudly claims credit for revitalizing Jim Iyke's career in the entertainment industry
Nollywood actor Uche Maduagwu asserts that he played a significant role in rejuvenating the career of his veteran colleague, Jim Iyke. This statement was made during a discussion about their 2021 altercation on the Trends and Bants podcast. In 2021, a video of Jim Iyke physically confronting Maduagwu went viral after the latter questioned the source of the former's wealth on social media.
Nevertheless, in 2022, Maduagwu revealed that the video had been a calculated stunt to promote Jim Iyke's comeback movie, for which he received N4.8 million.
In a recent episode of the Trends and Bants podcast, Maduagwu asserted that, prior to the stunt, the veteran actor had been noticeably absent from the movie industry. He stated, "The reality is, I revitalized Jim Iyke's career with that stunt. Before the skit, were you hearing about Jim Iyke everywhere? I reinvigorated his acting career."
