Hilda Baci treated herself and her friends to a lunch experience costing N1.1 million.

Hilda Effiong-Bassey, widely known as Hilda Baci, who broke the Cook-a-thon record, recently indulged in a lavish lunch outing with her friends, spending over N1.1 million.

In a video clip shared by Instablog9ja, Baci's friend mentioned that after attending church service on Sunday, they decided to visit a restaurant for their lunch gathering.

According to Baci's friend, they had a delightful Sunday and decided to celebrate the success of the Cook-a-thon by going to church. Following the service, they all gathered for brunch at a restaurant and placed their orders. To their surprise, the bill amounted to N1.1 million, leaving them puzzled about what they had ordered. However, they were fortunate to have the world record breaker, Hilda Baci, in their midst, who graciously paid the bill, resolving any concerns they had.

In the video clip, Baci was seen in the company of her friends at the restaurant. The receipt was also displayed in the video clip.

When Hilda Baci embarked on her marathon cooking journey streamed on Instagram and YouTube, her initial objective was to surpass the Indian record holder who cooked for 87 hours and 45 minutes back in 2019. She aimed to achieve an impressive non-stop cooking feat of 96 hours.

Driven by sheer determination and fueled by an enthusiastic crowd, including cheering celebrities, Baci not only accomplished her initial target but surpassed it. After successfully reaching the 96-hour mark, she continued to cook relentlessly, ultimately setting a remarkable new global record of non-stop cooking for an astounding 100 hours.

Prominent government officials, including President Major-General Muhammadu Buhari (retd), Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, President-elect Bola Tinubu, as well as presidential candidates Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party and Peter Obi of the Labour Party, along with governors Sanwo-Olu of Lagos and Udom Emmanuel of Akwa-Ibom, among others, have extended their congratulations to the accomplished chef for her remarkable achievement.
