Lekoil pledges new investments in Akwa Ibom
Lekoil Nigeria Limited's management has stated that the company is committed to Akwa Ibom State's long-term development through investments in oil and gas operations, job creation, and community development.During a recent visit to Akwa Ibom Governor Umo Eno, Lekoil's top officials, led by the company's CEO, Lekan Akinyanmi, stated that the company's commitment to Akwa Ibom's development is in recognition of Eno's administration's efforts to position the state for business opportunities and long-term development.
He stated, "We appreciate the warm reception from His Excellency, Governor Umo Eno, and the Akwa Ibom State Government. Lekoil Nigeria is committed to long-term development by conducting responsible oil and gas operations, creating jobs, and promoting community growth in Akwa Ibom.
"Through Cambridge Harvest, a subsidiary of Cambridge Growth Partners, we hope to advance the state's ARISE Agenda through sustainable agricultural practices." The Lekoil CEO described the company as an Africa-focused oil and gas exploration and production company. It is a portfolio company of Cambridge Growth Partners, which also owns OakGold, Cambridge LNG, Cambridge Energy, Cambridge Harvest, CGP-1 Fund, and Blink Studios.

He acknowledged that the purpose of the visit was to formally introduce the company to the state government and inform the governor of the company's investments in the state.
Eno responded by commending Lekoil for its investment interest in the state and assuring that his government will continue to create an enabling environment for investors.
He went on to say that officials from his administration and the people of Akwa Ibom are hopeful that the investment will create job opportunities for the state's teeming youths and help it develop further.
According to the Governor, the state is also interested in Cambridge Harvest, a subsidiary of Cambridge Growth Partners, which is interested in sustainable and efficient agricultural practices, and he hopes that a collaboration will propel his administration's ARISE Agenda.
