Arsenal FC announce departure of 22 players
Arsenal Football Club has confirmed that 22 players will depart the club at the conclusion of their contracts this June.
As the Premier League prepares to announce its official list of out-of-contract players, Arsenal has used the occasion to thank the departing men's and women's players for their efforts.
This is stated in a Monday statement received from the club's website titled "22 players to depart Arsenal at end of contracts".
Notable departures include Mohamed Elneny, Cedric Soares, and Vivianne Miedema.
It said, "Ahead of the official Premier League announcement of all men's players who will be out of contract at their current clubs on June 30, we are taking this opportunity to thank those players who will leave us at the end of the month."
"We are saying goodbye to the following men's players and scholars, as well as the three women's players who were already confirmed to be leaving.

The club also confirmed that discussions are ongoing regarding the contract situation with three youngsters.
“In addition, please note the following players’ contracts also expire on June 30. Discussions are ongoing and once matters are finalised between all parties, we will communicate in due course.
“The players are Amario Cozier-Duberry, Karl Hein and Reuell Walters,” it further read.
Arsenal extend its gratitude to all departing players and wishes them success in their future endeavours.
“We thank all the players leaving us for their contributions to the club. You will always be part of the Arsenal family and we wish you all the best of health and happiness in your future.
“Any further developments regarding players extending their contracts, as well as joining/re-joining, or leaving us, will be officially communicated when confirmed,” it concluded.
