Tinubu suspends Halima Shehu as NSIPA boss

President Bola Tinubu has immediately suspended Mrs. Halima Shehu, the National Coordinator and Chief Executive of the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA). The suspension was approved by President Tinubu, and he has ordered her prompt replacement.

This development comes just three months after her appointment was confirmed by the Senate.

Shehu, previously serving as the National Coordinator of the Conditional Cash Transfer Programme, played a key role in the program's digitalization, leveraging her banking and career expertise. She had a tenure at the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development from 2017 to 2022.
