The leader of the Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere, Pa Ayo Adebanjo, emphasized that President Bola Tinubu is not his enemy but rather his son. Speaking at an event in Lagos, Adebanjo clarified that while he disagrees with Tinubu politically, their relationship is characterized by mutual respect and favor.

Adebanjo acknowledged Tinubu as a loving young man who has always been willing to grant him any favor he asked. Despite their political differences, Adebanjo emphasized the importance of unity in the country and urged anyone who loves Nigeria to prioritize national progress.

He addressed the audience, highlighting the need for constitutional changes for the country to make meaningful progress. In his message, he extended his call for unity to all nationalists, including Bola Tinubu, whom he regards as a son and not an enemy.
