Zoom launches AI-powered word processor, Zoom docs
Zoom has officially launched Zoom Docs, its new AI-powered word processor, boosting its footprint in the office software market.Zoom Docs is connected with the company's Zoom AI Companion, which is intended to improve collaboration within Zoom's video conferencing platform. The AI Companion allows you to generate meeting summaries, create reports, and design action plans.
Zoom Docs allows users to create, exchange, and co-edit documents in real time without leaving the conference window. This functionality is also available to mobile users, who can see and collaborate on papers without signing in. Users can also create editable and shareable documents with configurable meeting details, which helps to streamline the sharing of essential information.
The new technology allows users to begin or arrange meetings directly from a Zoom Doc, making it easier to coordinate with colleagues. Documents can be created, shared, and modified in real time during meetings, and then integrated into the Zoom Workplace package.
Zoom Docs has a modular architecture, allowing users to create documents with customizable layouts, including graphics, tables, and bullet points, to personalize material to their specific requirements.
The service will be included in all paid Zoom Workplace plans for Zoom Workplace app customers running version 6.1.6 or later. Basic (free) Zoom users can create up to ten shared documents and an infinite number of personal documents, but they will not have access to the AI Companion.
