The National Assembly was thrown into confusion due to uncertainty surrounding Tinubu's speech
There's uncertainty surrounding President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's upcoming state-of-the-nation address at the National Assembly.
Tinubu's Special Adviser on Information & Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, initially confirmed that the president would address a joint session of the National Assembly on Wednesday, opting out of a national broadcast for his first anniversary in office.
Onanuga detailed Tinubu's anniversary plans, including the commissioning of the National Assembly Library and Resource Center, to be renamed the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Building.
However, a conflicting statement from Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, disputed claims of Tinubu addressing the National Assembly, calling them false and unauthorized.
