President Bola Tinubu Grants Approval for Reshuffle of Three Ministers
A statement endorsed by Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President, has conveyed that Engr. Abubakar Momoh is being reassigned from the Federal Ministry of Youth to the Federal Ministry of Niger Delta Development. The Federal Ministry of Youth is anticipated to be allocated to an incoming Minister-designate shortly.
In addition, alterations have been made to the portfolio allocation of Ministers-designate for the Federal Ministries of Transportation, Interior, and Marine & Blue Economy, as follows:
(A) H.E. Adegboyega Oyetola has been reassigned as the Honourable Minister of Marine & Blue Economy.
(B) Hon. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo is now the Honourable Minister of Interior.
(C) Hon. Sa’idu Alkali has assumed the role of the Honourable Minister of Transportation.
Moreover, both Ministers of State within the Oil & Gas sector have been relocated to the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources with the subsequent designations:
(i) Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri is the Hon. Minister of State (Oil), Petroleum Resources.
(ii) Hon. Ekperipe Ekpo has become the Hon. Minister of State (Gas), Petroleum Resources.
The renaming of the Federal Ministry of Environment and Ecological Management to the Federal Ministry of Environment has also been endorsed by the President.
