Presidency: Tinubu Returns to Nigeria Today
The Presidency has announced that President Bola Tinubu and his team will return to Nigeria from Europe today.
It's worth noting that the President traveled over two weeks ago for a meeting with the Dutch Prime Minister, Mark Rutte, followed by a trip to Saudi Arabia to attend a special World Economic Forum (WEF).
He then traveled to Europe following the summit.
The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, announced this development in a post on his X handle yesterday, stating: "President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his aides will return to Nigeria tomorrow (today) from Europe.
On April 22, Tinubu departed from Abuja, Nigeria's capital, for an official visit to the Kingdom of The Netherlands. Ajuri Ngelale, the presidential spokesperson, stated that the visit was in response to an invitation from Prime Minister Mark Rutte.
Following his engagements in The Netherlands, Tinubu traveled to Riyadh in Saudi Arabia to attend a special World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting on April 28 and 29.
The president was expected to return to Nigeria after the WEF event in Saudi Arabia, but he did not, sparking speculation about his whereabouts.
Some reports indicated that the president went to London after leaving Saudi Arabia for a private visit before heading to France, a European country.
