Pastor Odukoya, Founder of Fountain of Life, passes away in the United States
Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, the Senior Pastor of Fountain of Life Church, has passed away. He was reported to have died on Monday, August 7, in the United States of America (USA).
In an official announcement, the church expressed, "With complete surrender to the divine will of God, the Fountain of Life Church Family announces the transition to a higher realm of our beloved Father and Teacher;
"...An esteemed servant of the Almighty, Pastor Daniel Taiwo Odukoya, the Founding Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, who ascended to glory on the 7th of August 2023 in the United States."

Odukoya was born on June 15, 1956, in the city of Kaduna, during the time of Colonial Nigeria, where he was raised. His early education took place at Baptist Primary School on Kigo Road, Kaduna, followed by St. Paul’s College (now known as Kufena College, Wusasa) in Zaria. In 1976, he enrolled at the University of Ibadan, earning a degree in petroleum engineering in 1981.
Having graduated, Odukoya commenced his career as a petroleum engineer at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) in April 1982, after completing the mandatory one-year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program. He continued his service there until voluntarily retiring in January 1994, prompted by his calling to the ministry.
During his time at the University of Ibadan in 1980, Odukoya crossed paths with Bimbo Williams, leading to their relationship and eventual marriage in 1984. This union resulted in three children.
On December 10, 2005, Bimbo Odukoya, along with 102 others, tragically lost their lives in the Sosoliso Airlines Flight 1145 crash. Bimbo Odukoya's teachings had resonated deeply and widely with many.
