NANS president appointed UN ambassador

Bashiru Muhammad, National President of the National Association of Nigerian Students in Europe, has been appointed by the United Nations as a youth ambassador.

The UN said in a statement about the appointment that Muhammad had been at the forefront of advocating for young people's rights and creating a platform to amplify their voices on global issues.

"As a NANSE President, he has worked with youth bodies across the continent to ensure their concerns are heard at the global stage.

"We are very excited to see the strength of his vision and the positive impact it will have on international relations. This appointment is a true testament to the power of youth voices in global affairs, as well as an expression of faith in young people's future.

"We wish Bashiru the best of luck in this endeavor and eagerly await the results of this appointment," the UN said.
