Miyetti Allah hails Tinubu for creating livestock development ministry

The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria has applauded President Bola Tinubu for establishing the Ministry of Livestock Development.

In a statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja, the association's President, Baba Othman-Ngelzarma, stated that the creation of the ministry would unleash the potential of the trillion-naira cattle business.

Othman-Ngelzarma stated that the ministry's goal is to create high-quality and efficient job opportunities throughout the livestock value chain in order to boost the Nigerian economy.

He stated, "With this development, MACBAN thinks that the hope of Nigerian pastoralists has been realized under the Renew Hope Agenda.

Tinubu's vow to boost Nigerian farm productivity for food security is being accomplished, despite global economic concerns, according to APC governors.

"We, as an association, had been fighting tooth and nail for years to establish a stand-alone ministry to modernize the cattle production system in accordance with worldwide best practices.

"On behalf of the Chairman and members Board of Trustees of MACBAN, His Eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa'ad Abubakar III, and entire members of the Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria across the nation heartily congratulate the President and Commander-in-chief of the Nigerian Armed forces for this wonderful development."
