Military forces eliminate three bandits in Taraba
Troops from the 6 Brigade, Nigerian Army, stationed in Karim Lamido Local Government Area of Taraba, have eliminated three notorious bandits, as reported in a statement signed by the brigade’s Public Relations Officer, Lt. Olabodunde Oni, in Jalingo on Thursday.
The successful mission also led to the recovery of two AK-47 rifles, a motorcycle used by the criminals, and a cache of 40 rounds of 7.62 MM Special ammunition. Lt. Oni explained that the operation occurred in Chibi, where the troops, acting on actionable intelligence, conducted a precision strike against the criminals.
He stated that the troops' involvement underscores their steadfast dedication to upholding peace and security in Taraba.
The release also mentioned that Brigadier-General Kingsley Uwa, the Commander of the 6 Brigade, commended the troops for their courage and effectiveness in carrying out the operation.
Lt. Oni further conveyed that the Brigade Commander underscored the military's resolve to eliminate criminals from the state, ensuring the safety and well-being of the local population.
