IPMAN Urges Soludo to Address Concerns Regarding Filling Station Demolition
IPMAN Appeals to Governor Chukwuma Soludo Regarding Demolition of Chris Tee Petroleum Limited Property
Situated along the Onitsha/Otuocha road in Onitsha, the affected property is situated within Trans-Nkissi Phase 1.
In a letter of appeal signed by Mr. Chinedu Anyaso, Chairman of IPMAN Enugu Depot Community overseeing Anambra, Ebonyi, and Enugu States, the association has requested Governor Soludo's intervention.
The association stated that the demolition was executed by the Anambra State Physical Planning Board.
"After receiving a letter of complaint and conducting our own on-site assessment of the damages suffered by our member, whose documentation for the operation of the petrol station remains valid (as attached), we were taken aback when the agency proceeded to demolish part of the premises on April 14, 2024."
The association affirmed that the filling station has been operational since 2012, with all necessary documents up-to-date.
"Governor, we earnestly request your intervention to instruct the relevant agency to promptly restore the affected sections of this petrol station, allowing them to resume operations, especially with the approaching rainy season," the letter emphasized.
Responding, Mr. Chike Maduekwe, Chairman of the Anambra State Physical Planning Board, stated he had not yet received the letter.
"I cannot provide speculation. Once I review the letter, I will address it accordingly," he commented.
