Governor Bago voices apprehension regarding the increasing incidence of substance abuse among young
Governor Umaru Bago of Niger State has expressed deep concern about the increasing prevalence of substance abuse and restlessness among young people in both the state and the broader country.
He commended the YOWINCAN for its proactive initiative.
The Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Niger, Rev. Bulus Yohanna, praised the youth wing of the association for convening a gathering of key stakeholders to discuss the pressing issue of drug-related challenges affecting society. Rev. Ezekiel Ibrahim represented Yohanna at the event.
Mr. Emmanuel Loyin, the Chairman of YOWICAN in Niger, expressed the association's unease regarding the activities of restless youths who are influenced by drugs and often cause harm to innocent citizens. He explained that the event aimed to educate and raise awareness among citizens, stressing the importance of collective efforts in combating drug use among the youth.
