Former Governor of River State Affirms PDP Approval for Ministerial Role in Tinubu Administration

Wike, in a response to PDP's threats to take action against him, characterized party leaders as "reggae dancers," stressing that he had informed the party before accepting the position.

The ex-governor also revealed that Bola Tinubu reached out to all 36 state governors, including PDP members, who collectively proposed 10 nominees each for ministerial appointments.

Speaking at his inaugural press conference as a federal minister in Abuja on Monday, Wike challenged the allegations against him and pointed out his efforts in seeking approval from various party stakeholders.

With documented evidence, he emphasized that he had communicated with the national chairman, minority leaders in the House of Representatives and Senate, zonal party chairman, state chairman, and his own governor, all of whom endorsed his decision to accept the role.

Dismissing the accusations, Wike criticized those who propagate misleading information and referred to them as "reggae dancers," citing their loss of opportunity due to arrogance and impunity.
