First Lady advocates for early Autism diagnosis and support

The First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has urged for prompt diagnosis and intervention for people with autism. She made this plea in a statement released on Tuesday in honor of World Autism Awareness Day. In her statement, she acknowledged the difficulties encountered by families with autistic members and commended them for their affection and commitment. She expressed, "On this World Autism Awareness Day, I commend the exceptional abilities and ingenuity of individuals with the Autism Spectrum Disorder."

Mrs. Tinubu additionally advocated for a global community where every individual, irrespective of their obstacles, is empowered, embraced, and honored for their distinct talents.

The Ferdinand Effah Music Heritage Foundation has also emphasized the need for comprehensive development to enhance the health and well-being of individuals with autism.
