The Executive Chairman of Abi Local Government Council, Hon. Egbala Bassey, commissioned newly completed Solar Motorized Boreholes in Ebor, Imabana II, Abi LGA, Cross River State. This critical water infrastructure project marks a significant milestone in the Council's commitment to improving access to clean and potable water for rural communities.
The people of Ebor and adjoining settlements expressed profound joy and relief at the development, describing the intervention as timely and life-transforming. The visibly elated community members hailed the Chairman as a “God-sent,” in acknowledgment of his leadership's decisive response to their long-standing water scarcity challenge.
Present at the commissioning ceremony were: The Director of Legal Services, Cross River State Health Insurance Agency, Barr. Henry Evogor; Hon. Blessing Edwin, Supervisor for Health; Hon. Enang Aboli, Supervisor for Due Process; Mr. Victor Imoke, APC Ward Chairman, Imabana II; other appointees of Council; Traditional Rulers and Council Members; Elders; and members of the Ebor community, both young and old.
The project underscores the Council’s resolve to deploy sustainable solutions through renewable energy for improved public utility delivery in line with global best practices. The Chairman reaffirmed his administration’s continued dedication to grassroots development, health, and welfare.
